Acrylic on chunky canvas
I wanted to capture the essence of a picnic in the countryside in early autumn. We had gone to forage mushrooms and blackberries. A simple picnic was packed containing a generous block of Emmental cheese and a perfectly aged bottle of Pinot Noir, red wine. The ideal accompaniment for freshly picked blackberries, best consumed in a field with view of a grazing horse and scratchy brambles on a blue skyline. We loved it.
