I wanted to capture the mayhem in the hen coop, chicken heads popping up from all directions. I love to pare back the birds to the shapes I see, like a chicken fillet in a plastic wrapped carton. Because they were so angular looking I ended up adding very spikey head gear - like blades/ flick knives, ready for a fight. This reminded me of the Mean Street Posse, a name that was floating around in my head. The look like little gangstas, no messing with them!
