These gulls are modelled on the homemade ice lollies of my childhood. When I think of the beach I think of white, orange, red and turquoise. I think of ice cream and seabirds. I wanted to mix all of these elements up into one beachy piece. With this very retro palette I am instantly transported to the late 70s or early 80s when life was uncomplicated. Life through the eyes of a seagull!
