Now this was a complete departure for me again. I absolutely adore tulips, in case you hadn't noticed and I had a bunch in a vase for over a week and they were starting to wither. I photographed them from various angles to capture their beauty....richer, deeper colours unlike lots of flowers which tend to fade when dying; somehow managing to hold onto their wilting petals. I loved how they drooped in all directions; it was like they had surrendered to nature and were going with the flow. Look at us, we are not decaying, we are becoming, we are entering a new phase of our life. Yes, relatable as a middle aged woman! I want to embrace this beauty, my lines and my bulges and my dips and my creases. Let's do this bitch!! I have etched in some mantras in pencil...."I do not wither, I become. I am not decaying. Flourish!"
