I don't know where these hens came from. I had seen a photo of a hen like the one on the RHS and I just had to capture the shape and expression and then I added in the other hen in a mirror image. I liked the idea of them having a dialogue out in the farmyard, making a holy mess of the front yard. They really remind me of dinosaurs, roaming the vast earth which is why I wanted to add such an abstract background. There is straw, grass, water and sunshine.
