This was a slight departure from my extremely pared back fish. I wanted to give these ones open mouths to show them gasping for life and hunting for plankton. I've added in swirling lines like fishing lines to give a sense of movement and to evoke a sense of danger. It must be a scary place to dwell in but these brave souls just keep swimming. Their popping eyes are beacons in the dark waters. A very upbeat feel to this thanks to the translucent outlined fish and the vibrant aqua and turquoise palette.
